DATE OF FOUNDATION OF MUNICIPALITIES OF TOLIMA
The city of Honda is one of the oldest municipalities in Tolima, founded in 1561 by Francisco Núñez Pedroso. However, Mariquita was founded in 1551, being the first Spanish municipality established in what is today the territory of Tolima.
