MUNICIPALITIES OF ANTIOQUIA NEAR MEDELLÍN
The Aburrá Valley Metropolitan Area is the most important conurbation in Antioquia and the second in the country. Made up of ten municipalities that stretch along the Medellín River, this area is home to nearly four million people and constitutes the economic and industrial engine of the department. Its urban integration is so deep that many of its municipalities have become practically fused with Medellín's urban fabric.
