Tourism in Bolívar
Complete tourism guide to Bolívar: main attractions, ecotourism, culture, gastronomy and how to get there. Everything to see and do.
The department of Bolívar is home to two of Colombia's most iconic destinations: Cartagena de Indias, the walled city declared a World Heritage Site, and Mompox, the colonial town frozen in time that also holds the same UNESCO distinction. Cartagena is Colombia's most important international tourist destination, with its Caribbean beaches, islands, colonial architecture and vibrant nightlife. Mompox, inland, is the antithesis: silence, history and a timeless charm on the banks of the Magdalena River branch.
