DATE OF FOUNDATION OF MUNICIPALITIES OF CESAR
The municipality of Valledupar is the oldest in the department of Cesar, founded on January 6, 1550 by the conquistador Hernando de Santana, becoming one of the oldest cities in Colombia and the central point of the cultural history of the Colombian Caribbean.
