DATE OF FOUNDATION OF MUNICIPALITIES OF CASANARE
The municipality of Pore is the oldest in the department of Casanare, founded in 1644 and which was the first capital of the department during the 19th century. Spanish colonization left a deep mark on these plains lands, where Jesuit and Augustinian missions were established, giving rise to several of the current municipalities.
