DATE OF FOUNDATION OF MUNICIPALITIES OF CALDAS
The municipality of Aguadas is the oldest in the Caldas department, founded on August 4, 1808, as one of the first permanent settlements of the Antioqueña colonization in the territory that today comprises the department. Its preserved historic center has made it a Cultural Heritage of the Nation.
