Tourism in Risaralda — Pereira, Hot Springs and Coffee Landscape

Risaralda is the heart of the Colombian Coffee Region, a department of eternal temperate climate, green coffee plantations on Andean slopes and a tourist infrastructure that makes it one of the most comfortable destinations in the country. Its capital, Pereira, is the largest city in the Coffee Region and the third in western Colombia, a modern, commercial and university city that serves as a perfect base for exploring the Coffee Cultural Landscape, UNESCO World Heritage since 2011.

The Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs —with hot water pools at 95°C amid waterfalls and cloud forest— are the most visited attraction in the department and one of the largest thermal complexes in Colombia. Tatamá National Natural Park on the border with Chocó is one of the rainiest parks in the world, with over 11,000 mm of rainfall per year. Risaralda has 14 municipalities and the best airport in the Coffee Region for connecting with the world.
